Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

Introduction

Shift Videoproductions (“we”, “our”, or “us”), operated by Lars Grote, is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit shiftvideoproductions.com.

Different things here rest on different legal bases. Analytics cookies and the newsletter rest on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Answering an enquiry, arranging a call or delivering a project is performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request. Our host's security logs rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the site up.

Information We Collect

  • Newsletter subscribers: When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your first name, last name, and email address. This data is stored and managed by Kit.com (ConvertKit Inc., USA), our email service provider. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
  • Analytics data: If you consent via our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA) to collect anonymised data about how you use our site, including pages visited, session duration, and general location (country level). Your IP address is anonymised. This data is used solely to improve our website.
  • Google signals: We have enabled Google signals in Google Analytics, which provides aggregated, anonymised demographic and interest data (such as age range, gender, and interest categories) about visitors who are signed in to their Google accounts and have turned on Ads Personalisation. This data cannot be used to identify individual visitors and is used only to better understand our audience. You can control Ads Personalisation in your Google Ad Centre or review and delete activity via My Activity.
  • Contact enquiries: When you write or call, we process what you tell us in order to answer you.
  • Booking a call: The booker on our contact page is our own scheduling tool, running on our CRM at filmcrm.vercel.app. Your name, email address and what you want to talk about are stored in our own database in the European Union, not with a third-party scheduler.
  • Story Audit: The Story Audit form takes your email address, adds you to the same Kit.com list as the newsletter, and sends you on to the audit itself, which runs on our CRM. Your answers are stored there.
  • Private video links: If we sent you a personal link of the form shiftvideoproductions.com/v/…, opening it records that the video was opened, how far you watched, your IP address and your browser. That goes to our own CRM so we know whether the message reached you. It is not shared with anyone and is not used for advertising.
  • Embedded content: Pages may include embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos. These platforms may set their own cookies. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies.
